No, to connect two monitors via DisplayPort, two DisplayPort connections are required. One is DisplayPort In and the second is DisplayPort Out. This screen does not have a DisplayPort Out connector. Furthermore, the resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels is not optimal for 31.5 inch screens. The 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution should be chosen. Or something with 27 or 28 inch resolution. The monitor must also support the DisplayPort Multi Stream Transport Protocol (MST). There are some from HP, Phillips and Dell that can do this.
However, contrary to the information in the text, this screen has a DP-Out (I am currently using it). According to the menu, it can use USB-C and DP in MST or SST, HDMI only in SST.
Then I still have problems with the general answer that 2 DP are required: The input can be a USB-C (or HDMI). USB-C uses (if the laptop can do so) the DP protocol. And since USB-C connects the USB hub, passes on the LAN and could also charge the laptop, USB-C is always the optimal choice.
Setup looks like this: USB-C from laptop to this monitor. DP cable from monitor to a second monitor. Select "USB Type-C (MST/SST)" in the menu of the monitor - System - DP Out. If the laptop can do this, it works (works for me for MST, not SST).
I agree 100% that the resolution is a bit small for the size of the screen, but 4K usually costs a bit more and the functionality of the screen is top, even if the picture itself is only poor. But it's OK to work with.
