Question about Creative Sound Blaster Z
Could I use this card to give 5.1 via TOSLINK to my sound system. Unfortunately, my media PC does not have an optical output.

DTS Audio, Dolby Digital and Microsoft WMA Pro Audio are offered as audio formats via SPDIF (in addition to normal stereo PCM up to 96 kHz sampling rate). However, I can't test this because I don't have a receiver for it.
Yes, via the optical output of the sound card. I have successfully used it myself under Windows.
