Could someone tell me if the setup fits like this? Tower is my old MIDI Tower and SSD/HDD/drive too, the new one is --> https://goo.gl/ULkRqj (link shortened to digitec lol...)
Why not just get an 8700k?
360.- for a CPU and 190.- for a z270 mainboard, making a total of 550.- for components that are already virtually obsolete.
For the Ram, I would take those with more mhz. I didn't even see a CPU cooler at first, I thought it was for the graphics card.
I would tend to go for a high-end air cooler, like the Dark Rock 3 Pro or Noctua NH-D15. Costs you 150 less and still provides massive cooling and you don't have to build a cooling unit.
The power supply is cheap and good, I would leave it as it is and not downgrade.
so basically it fits but would also put on coffeelake 8700k should be properly launched in december. would save more on the cpu cooling than on the cpu if you do not really need it wait until the 8700k is available. if it fits into the case you have to look for yourself or post the case. the power supply would also suffice with 650w, but 750w is not wrong either.
The rams are completely wrong. Far too expensive and far too much mhz, and besides, a normal mainboard only has dual channels, which means you should currently take two good rams, as you get the most performance for your money.
So the best price-performance ratio is somewhere around 3000-3200mhz and CL 14-16.
2x8gb is completely sufficient at the moment. More than about 3200mhz doesn't bring much more performance, but costs immensely more money.
But with your giant cooler it will be tight, there will be no other possibility than to take Corsair Vengeance LPX. Best 2x8gb with 3000mhz, should cost about 200.- as far as I know. But just make sure that it fits. Can you post the exact designation of your housing?
