Question about UniFi Dream Machine Pro - 294266
Since this router has a fibre optic connection, I wonder if I can completely replace my Swisscom router with it? Swisscom has launched a new router on the market, but I would rather have a stand-alone device that they don't have access to. At least if I have to pay for it anyway. It should be possible to get an alternative.
It is precisely this access to the device that Swisscom needs in order to set the limits for the subscription. For this reason, no provider can or will accept the customer being given control of the device at the network termination.
It works with Swisscom as long as you don't have the 10gbit connection. With this, unfortunately, it is still a router constraint.
