Question about Dell P2422H
Dear Community I'm setting up a home office for the first time. Whilst looking for a suitable screen, I came across this one. I don't know anything about it: Do I need an extra cable to connect the laptop to the screen? We have a USB-C cable in the office that also charges the laptop. I am thinking of a solution like this. Thank you very much in advance for your help. I am also open to other recommendations.
As Carnica13 already wrote, this monitor does not have a USB-C port. However, there is the P2422HE (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/dell-p2422he-1920-x-1080-pixel-2380-monitor-17743434) which has a USB-C port, even with a network connection (Gigabit Ethernet) and charging function (PD). The P2422HE also has a DisplayPort output to connect a second monitor. The P2422HE therefore has an integrated docking station, so to speak. This means you could set up a two-monitor setup with the P2422HE and P2422H combination, which only requires 1 cable to the notebook, supplies your laptop with power and connects it to the network.
This model here is not a USB-C monitor. This means you cannot charge your laptop with it. The question is whether you would be better off buying a docking station with which you can charge the laptop, with additional USB slots etc. It's a matter of taste. It's a matter of taste.
