If you are referring to the unusual subpixel layout and the associated problems with Microsoft clear type, yes, these also affect this monitor. However, the perception is very individual. Some see it immediately, others (like me) don't notice it.

Normally yes, but to be honest it doesn't show, at least not for me.

Hardly noticeable for me with HDMI on the laptop, but with Displayport on the PC it's unattractive, tweaks have done little.

Why the difference? Maybe it's due to different Windows settings, scaling/zoom, etc.

This question is not clear. The monitor isn't designed for word processing and doing Word or Excel 8 hours a day on it isn't suitable. After that, it's still perfectly readable, it's just not as comfortable for reading as an IPS or VA panel.
