Should be possible... at least "G-Sync compatible". Nvidia graphics cards from the GTX 1000 model series upwards also support Adaptive Sync/Freesync. Compatibility should be guaranteed in the newer drivers.

How does the mottöerweile look like with the G-Sync? Any other problems?
