Good day , I have a question about this power supply. Do I understand correctly that this power supply could supply my MOBO with 4+8 pin with power? I have this MOBO https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/asrock-b550-extreme-4-am4-amd-b550-atx-mainboard-13348330?supplier=406802.

Yes, the power supply has 2 cables with CPU (8/4 pins) connections. From that point of view it fits.

Without knowing the other hardware, I think you can also use a much smaller and cheaper power supply. I have the feeling you only chose a 1'000W power supply because you didn't see a 4pin connector on the smaller ones, right?
The 4pin ATX on the mainboard can usually be left out. The 24pin + 8pin will be sufficient.
This is also mentioned in the manual on page 31 https://download.asrock.com/Manual...

Thank you very much for your answers.

Yes, I thought I needed this connection to really use my MOBO 100%.

About the hardware,
CPU would be a Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU would be a RX 5700 XT Sapphire Nitro+
I think those would be the only big watt eaters otherwise I don't really have anything that eats much except maybe the fans 6 of them but they don't always run at 100%.

I also wanted to upgrade from my current power supply to 750W because I would like to overclock the CPU and GPU a bit, would 1000W be too much?

Thanks for your time
