Hello. Do I see this correctly: The device that is plugged into the router has two Ethernet ports? What for? I would need two Ethernet ports on the powerline receiver, i.e. the WiFi signal transmitter, in order to connect two devices that I do not want to run via the WLAN. Does anyone have a solution? In my old flat, I always had to switch the Ethernet cable between the devices, and I would like to have this problem solved right away. Do I really have to buy the 1200 Mbit/s device, which is much too powerful, or do you know of another one where the Powerline receiver has two Ethernet ports? Thank you!

Helpful answer

The device, which is plugged into the router, has two Ethernet ports for:
- One to connect to the router
- One to connect to a PC, for example.
This means that no extra router connection is needed.
And yes, the powerline receiver only has one port, you would have to connect a switch there if you want several LAN ports.
Note: In my case, the powerline receiver regularly broke down after approx. 2 years (this also happened to others, according to research in various forums), after the second time I then inserted an Ethernet cable, and now it runs carefree.

Simply connect a router and then it should not be a problem. The router can then operate several devices via Ethernet.
