Very nice bass, but not "fat" (i.e. slightly overdone). Perhaps not ideal for massive bass. But then noise cancelling might not be necessary either ....

I would not describe the bass of the QC 20 as 'fat'. In my opinion, the sound is balanced. So if you really want a lot of bass, it might not be suitable. Of course, you could help it out with an equaliser - but that's a matter of taste. On the other hand, the noise cancelling is very strong. It's a relief when you're travelling with it on public transport... you're in another world.
