I have an HP laptop (company) and a Macbook Pro. Both have USB-C. I imagine that I have a USB-C cable on the screen and can connect both laptops depending on whether I am working or having free time (image transfer and charging). Am I right?

The USB-C port delivers 100W. I suspect that this is not enough power for your MacBook. It was definitely too little power for my Dell Precision 5570.

Unfortunately, the device only has 1x USB-C, so it would have to be switched manually between the two devices.
Charging should also work, but the fast charging function on the MacBook may not work as 100W can be a bit tight, but normal charging works.
