I have just received the monitor and wanted to put the docking station into operation. I connected the monitor to my Mac via USB-C, as well as to the Lenovo from the shop, but I can't get the connection to work. What could be the reason? Do I need to install any drivers? I used my private USB-C-C. Should one have been included with the purchase and could this be the problem?
It should come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. However, there is a USB-A adapter on one end, which almost looks as if it is a USB-A plug.
Try disconnecting the USB-A plug from the USB-C to USB-A cable. Then it should work.
Great, thank you very much for the answer.
I've just used a second, shorter USB-C, but the monitor doesn't recognise the laptop. fThe Philips support team can't help me any further, I have the feeling they can't really figure it out themselves.
Hence the renewed question to the Community.
I have a 2021 MacBook Pro and a Lenovo for business. I really want to be able to use the monitor's docking station, as I bought the monitor specifically for this purpose. Which cable do I need to use for the connection? USB-C on the monitor is already clear. But what about the other end; USB-C to USB-C? Do I need an additional driver or is the cable connection usually sufficient? According to the Community, a driver or similar should not be necessary. When I connect via cable, "video signal" is simply not recognised.
There should have been one and it works perfectly for me with Lenovo and Surface Book
