I have relatively audible static noise when ANC is active. I hear this when no music is playing or in quiet passages. Is this normal or a reason for an exchange?

I can't hear any noise on my QC35. If you hear it when your BT is connected but no music is playing, I would contact Digitec customer service.

Mhhh hard to say. ANC has a very slight under noise, but certainly not audible when playing music. Since the ANC is calculated by the 2 external microphones, it may be noisy in the wind when driving. But not static. I recommend you download the latest firmware from your PC and flash the headphones --> Update Center Bose QC35 is an Internet application and then play around with the app on your Android or IOS phone. You can then deactivate ANC. Then you will see for sure if the noise is coming from the ANC.
