Question about HP External USB DVD-RW drive

I have the following problem and would like to fix it with this drive: When I try to install Windows on my new PC with a USB stick, I always get an error message or the message that there are missing drivers. The mainboard came with a CD with the drivers, but I don't have a drive yet. I would like to connect this drive to my PC and install the drivers. Now I wanted to ask whether I can use this drive directly during the installation, or whether I first have to install the necessary drivers. LG and thanks in advance.

I'm a little confused right now. How do you want to install the drivers if you haven't even set up the PC yet? Which software did you use to create the bootable USB stick?
