I wonder if I can use the monitor smoothly with the Surface Pro 4. Order the i7 version which has the Intel Iris 540 Graphic.

Yes, this is possible, I have even seen people who have connected two 4K monitors to the Pro4 (with the docking station).

If the Surface Pro comes out in this spec 4k@60p it will work just like any other 4k monitor.
