I would like to use the philips screen as my main screen for work. My problem is that when I close the laptop, only the Philips screen is recognised as one screen. How can I split it into 2 screens? This worked with my old employer...

No problem. The laptop can be connected to the monitor with two cables (2xHDMI, 1xDP and/or 1xUSB-C). The two signals can then be displayed side by side in the screen menu under System - PBP (Picture by Picture). Works perfectly if the laptop's graphics card delivers 2x 2560x1440.
