Is a USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen 2) (has Displayport version 1.4 and PowerDelivery in it, is from the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503RS-LN006X) sufficient to run 3 displays à 1440p @ 60Hz with this docking station? For example, can the docking station also deliver 1440p @ 240Hz on one screen alone? How do I find out?
What is possible depends on the bandwidth. You would have to calculate how much you need for your project, there are various calculators on the internet. Once you have calculated the bandwidth you need, you have to compare it with the connection types (data bandwidth).
In your example:
ASUS USB-C 3.2 Gen2x1 - up to 10Gbps.
3x:
Resolution: 1440p
Frequency: 60Hz
Colour subsampling: 4:2:0
Colour depth: 8bit
approx. 2.7Gbit/s x 3(monitors) = approx. 8.1Gbit/s
So for the picture signal alone you need 8.1Gbit/s out of 10Gbit/s, other devices connected to the dock add to that. 1440p@240Hz is just not possible.
