Is it possible to feed this monitor with two outputs from the PC? To give the PC two monitors, so to speak. (Window handling Win7). If so, can the image be split horizontally and vertically?

Well, we have Win7 in operation until further notice. The window arrangement is not quite as elegant as with Win10.
If I simply turn the screen into two screens and divide them horizontally, I have solved the problem with the window arrangement very simply. In Win I simply say I have two devices which are arranged one above the other and each have a resolution of 3840*1080. I already have 4 quasi-independent windows for my database applications.

maybe i don't understand the question correctly but you do arouse my curiosity, what is this function needed for? --> i would buy such a screen for the very reason of not needing a second monitor... ;) 40" and 4k are like 4x 20" screens with 1080p... just note that you need a graphics card with hdmi 2.0 output or even better a displayport output,... for office and multimedia it is a great monitor... (unfortunately, not suitable for gaming due to 60FPS limitation and latencies...)
