Is it possible to install a "kind of player" from Sony on the PC where you can copy the music from iTunes, for example? And if so, is it complicated...what about podcasts?

Sony transfer programme (Music Center for PC) can access all music libraries on the PC, it is uncomplicated.
Podcast should also work, as they are in a supported format. But I haven't tried that.
