Is the information under "5G wireless transmission" correct? It is not mentioned anywhere else as a special feature, but the description says WWAN-Ready... what does that mean?

Based on the information available, the product does not support an integrated 5G modem ex works. WWAN Ready means: The product is prepared for an optional WWAN modem (e.g. 4G or 5G). Antennas and SIM slot are available. The mobile modem itself is not installed.
