Is the USB-C power cable of the MacBook Pro (2019 model) sufficient to operate this monitor? Or would I be better off with an HDMI cable?

The USB-C power cable of the MacBook Pro (2019 model) can theoretically be used to power the Dell UltraSharp U2424HE monitor, but with some limitations.
- The monitor supports up to 90 W USB Power Delivery via the USB-C port, which is sufficient to charge many laptops and power the monitor at the same time.
- However, the MacBook Pro 2019 can be supplied with an 87 W power supply, which is within the supported range of the monitor.
However, it should be ensured that the USB-C cable used can transmit the necessary power. An incorrect cable could lead to slow charging times or insufficient performance.
An HDMI cable, on the other hand, is only used to transmit image signals and not for power supply. So if you only want to transmit the image signal, an HDMI cable would be sufficient. However, if you also want to have the power supply via the cable, the USB-C cable would be the better choice, provided it is a compatible cable with sufficient performance.
The cable does not necessarily have to be Thunderbolt 4 to get the best out of the USB-C interface. The USB-C cable from your MacBook Pro should be sufficient.
Would a Thunderbolt 4 cable be better than the USB-C power cable of the MacBook Pro (2019 model) to power this monitor?
