The supplied fan says 12 V and not 5 V, does the fan still reach the air volume at 5 V? I think it should explicitly say 5V on it or am I wrong?

The fan is available in two versions, 12V and 5V. This is the 12V version, the 5V version is available here:

This is not a 5v fan but a 12v fan. 5v is only the pwm signal. See manufacturer's page
