As far as I know, 5.1 only supports the 'HEOS Bar'...

Hello,
The Homecinema is 2.1 and cannot be upgraded to 5.1 if this has not been changed in the software. 
HS2 are mainly the speakers and have Bluetooth, unlike the first generation. You can find out more about the differences, if any, on the Heos website.
