What would YOU recommend? Intel I9 7900K or AMD Threadripper 1950X ? Please exact reasons. Greetings Tobi :)

Threadripper is the better choice in the vast majority of cases. Faster CPU, more energy efficient, and higher quality than Intel (for example, CPU IHS and VRM issues with Intel MBs).
There are a few exceptions where i9 is the better choice at the moment. For example, I once had a problem that Android Studio only supported virtualization from Intel, but not from AMD. But maybe that has been fixed already.
Many people unfortunately look at the brand name instead of the product, otherwise I can't explain how the i9 can be sold at all. If it were from AMD, it would hardly be bought.

Even if the question is already old, in order to ask it correctly, you would still have to tell us the purpose for such a processor... if it were for example the purpose "gaming", then I would clearly advise you to go for 7700K / 8700K, which can provide much more performance in the gaming area than the 2 you suggested... You can then buy good components with the money you save! ^^

For workstations with heavy multitasking, I would recommend the Threadripper 1950X due to its higher overall performance and ECC support. If single core performance is more important and RAM reliability is less important, an i9-7900X might fit (or even an i7-8700K for less heavy multitasking).

Sure, the AMD Threadripper 1950X. Since the computing power is only just below the i9-7980XE but costs only half as much. - In terms of quality, Intel still has the edge - fact.

I also asked myself this question, but then decided on an I9 7940x, but because I've been using Intel for the last 15 years and have never had any problems, e.g. overclocked CPUs, MBs etc. can last 8 years with daily use. The AMD will certainly not be bad. Whether it will prove itself in the long run we will have to wait and see :)

Seriously? What kind of question is that ? I9 7900X with 10 cores VS AMD 1950X with 16 cores

I think the question should be more like: Intel® Core™ i9-7960X X-series Processor VS AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ 1950X Processor

because then there are 16 cores VS 16 core

PS: Intel also has an 18 Core > Intel® Core™ i9-7980XE Extreme Edition Processor
