when I'm sitting in an aeroplane and don't want to hear any more noises at all, i.e. completely quiet without music and engines and other passengers and babies crying ... are these headphones any good or will they be too much for me?

Hi andrea, if you want to get the maximum out of noise cancelling (NC), then I recommend a product in the clearly higher price segment. With my Sony WH-1000 ... I drive (or fly) very well, for example.

It insulates quite well in the aeroplane, but it doesn't manage all noises.
