Why should I buy the single SIM version when the dual SIM costs the same? Or can the second slot be used for other purposes with the single-SIM version?

Apparently, the reason for offering a single-SIM variant is only that many providers subsidise dual-SIM devices less highly.

The mobile phone has a hybrid sim slot, i.e. either dual sim or sim and SD.
