be quiet! Straight Power 11 Gold
Question about Straight Power 11 Gold - 627243
Will the fan spin without connecting to the motherboard? My new build (with the 1000W edition) does not work and I am trying to figure out the problem.
The power supply unit and therefore also the fan can be tested by bridging two pins on the ATX connector using a paper clip. Just google "pc power supply test paperclip"...
PS. From personal experience, I would advise against buying be quiet power supplies. I've had to replace them twice under warranty in the last 2 years.
I think the fan only turns when it is needed.
