I would say a 5700XT is optimal for AAA games in 1440p@60+FPS gaming or 1080p@120+FPS (So a RX5700XT has about twice as much FPS as a 1050Ti and you already know the topic Nvidia vs AMD so only Freesync but more FPS for the money vs G-Sync&Raytracing&DLSS or not).

It depends on what you need. Basically, the RX5700XT is still recommendable in terms of price and performance, but definitely without any problems.
