Will this monitor work with the Surface Book? I had planned to connect directly from the mDP output to the DIsplayport without a docking station. Or why is there still the HDMI adapter?

I have already used the LG via the docking and directly on the Surface. The connection is made via the MiniDisplay. When connected to the Surface, the monitor is not fully used because only the Surface resolution is used.

what kind of outputs do you have with the surface book? miniDisplay? if, yes... screen should work... it has 2x thunderbolt inputs...
whether there's a docking station in between plays a small role, I think.
