What distinguishes humans from machines?

Seventeen-year-old Eve is barely managing to get by with robot fights until she is devastatingly defeated and loses her last bit of money. In search of a way out, she encounters Ezekiel, a lifelike android, who is banned due to her resemblance to humans and superior combat skills.
