The cow Lieselotte has a birthday! But on the farm it remains strangely quiet. Isn't anyone making birthday preparations? The farmer's wife hasn't baked a birthday cake, the garden isn't festively decorated. Have any of her friends thought about Lieselotte's birthday? Sadly Lieselotte looks for some candles, puts on her birthday hat from last year and steals a piece of rusk in the kitchen. Dejected and all alone, Lieselotte trots down to the brook. And there she expects a glittering surprise party with all her friends.
