In addition to the available volumes of the Space Travel Types Compass, this title addresses the currently highly dynamic topic of private space travel. While nearly all projects in the early decades of the space age were state programs, a paradigm shift is now underway. Companies like SpaceX and Virgin Galactic have already achieved cult status in the scene. Initiatives such as the crewed Dragon capsule, the Lynx by XCOR, and the space station modules from Bigelow Aerospace are widely discussed even in serious media. This volume presents all relevant initiatives in private space travel.
