If your 135 film is displayed as negative, it is most likely because the device is set to slide/positive instead of negative film. In this case, the scanner will of course show the opposite colours. Checklist for you: - Insert the film holder correctly for 135 mm. - In the scanner menu: - For colour negatives: "Colour Negative". - For B/W negative: "B/W Negative". - For slides: "Slide/Positive". - Fine-tune brightness/colour if necessary.

The Kodak Slide N Scan (USB, HDMI) is primarily designed to scan the image area of 35mm negatives and slides, but there is no specific setting that allows the edge of the negative strips to be scanned. The scanners are typically aligned to the image area and cut off the edge to ensure optimum image quality. If you want to scan the edge of the negative strips, you may need to make manual adjustments or use a different scanner that supports this function, which is not the case with this model.

Fat32 certainly works. That's what I used. I don't know if other formats would also work. The manual only says "SD Card, maximum 32 GB".
