1. DHV The island of a thousand lighthouses
The audiobook event of the year. A new adventure from the fantastic continent of Zamonia by the successful duo Walter Moers and Hildegunst von Mythenmetz. Read by Andreas Fröhlich. "Four to eight weeks in this climate, and you'll practically have two new lungs, maybe even three." When a doctor sends Hildegunst von Mythenmetz to a spa in Eydernorn, he has no idea what dangerous adventure his patient is about to embark on. Known for its magnificent lighthouses, the healthiest island in the North Sea initially promises pure relaxation for the ailing artist – if it weren't for its strange inhabitants and eerie natural phenomena. Mythenmetz encounters Belphegators and beach runners, frost rats, and the legendary evil, the Quaquappa. Eydernorn, it seems, poses a danger to the entire world. And the spa guest is reluctantly chosen to save it... Known to Moers fans as the most significant writer of the continent of Zamonia, Hildegunst von Mythenmetz once again becomes the hero of a wildly adventurous novel that captivates both young and old with suspense, quirky ideas, and overflowing wordplay. Like every Zamonia novel, "The Island of a Thousand Lighthouses" tells a self-contained story that entertains newcomers while effortlessly paving the way into Moers's cosmos.
