Does this toner work in a hp Color Laserjet Pro MFP M479dw without any problems and without additional chip tinkering which then fails...?

NO. Have several Hermex products, most are locked by HP! Not necessarily the failure of Hermex, but nevertheless I can NOT recommend a purchase!
