For this model, Kodak talks a lot about the numérisation of films, but very little about the numérisation of slides. What is your experience? Is it possible to number the slides with a plastic cadre (which is more durable than a cardboard cadre)? Merci pour vos réponses ! Yes, slides also work well. I've tried both cardboard and plastic.

Hello Philou. Of course you can't scan films at all! Slides and negatives, however, are of surprisingly good quality. I was a bit sceptical at first, but on the whole I'm quite satisfied. Slides with plastic frames have a thickness of approx. 1.8 mm and they work without any problems. I don't know whether there are still big differences, but if there are, then 2 mm would probably be the absolute upper limit. Unfortunately, there are a lot of blatant errors in the description of many items, which sometimes lead to real confusion. I have complained 1 or 2 times, but unfortunately this has not been changed. Too bad.....

Slides up to approx. 2.5 mm thick (self-framed slides with double glass) can be read without any problems using the inserts supplied.
As I still had very old slides with a thickness of up to 3.5 mm, I simply created an extended, open-topped auxiliary template on the 3D printer. This enabled me to scan entire magazines in a very short time.

I have digitised slides with 1.8mm plastic frames without any problems. I assume slides with up to 2mm should not be a problem.
