Help!!! At the end of the installation of ScanSnap Home on a PC with Windows 8.1, the following error message appears: "There is an anomaly in the operating environment of the programme. (0X80220036)" after that it doesn't go on.

I have not had any problems with the software so far. Neither in Microsoft Windows 10 nor in Mac OS. Windows 8 was developed in 2012 and Windows 8.1. as an affordable version was released in 2014. Thought in OS dimensions, that is old. I advise you to switch to Windows 10. If that is not possible for you: uninstall the software, use a registry cleaner at best, such as CCleaner and reinstall the software.
