Yes, you can. There is a plugin for Inkscape at https://github.com/fablabnbg.... However, this can only handle the first tool, I have started an experimental code fork here that can handle multi-head, but so far is only supported for Blender, someone would have to knit the Inkscape GUI on top of it.
What I don't recommend is to use the Silhouette SW under Virtualbox. With more complex plots, the USB connection is almost always lost.

I can't find a download for Linux here (https://www.silhouetteamerica.com/software), so I guess it doesn't work.
