Yes, it works very well with a Mac. I connect it with my mac book pro and I am very happy.

If you want to plug in a usb cable and connect it to your mac, I can't tell you.

On the other hand I know that the scanner can work autonomously if you connect it to your wifi network or ethernet cable. (it scans and sends by email or stores on a shared folder for example).

I use Linux, Mac and Windows and that means I can use it at any time.
