Alessi Pulcina - Espresso Machine 30 cl

The Pulcina espresso pot is the result of the creative spirit of architect Michele De Lucchi. Pulcina is the outcome of a long search: the participants aimed to discover how to optimize the shape of the espresso pot to enhance the organoleptic properties of espresso. Thanks to the special design of the kettle's interior, the Pulcina interrupts the flow of coffee at just the right moment. This avoids the volcanic phase – that final moment of extraction which leaves a burnt, bitter aftertaste. Only the best of the coffee makes it into the cup, allowing its rich, rounded aroma to be fully enjoyed. The spout is relatively pronounced. Its typical V-shape resembles the beak of a chick (it. pulcino). It is designed so precisely that it allows for drip-free pouring. Pulcina is practical, functional, and requires no special care.
