It works for us. The high-quality mill copes well with it.

Our two mills have been in use since 2016 without any problems. We use the salt mill with iodised sea salt from Migros or Coop and the pepper mill with peppercorns (there are two different mills). The great thing is that you don't put them with the opening on the table but the other way round, so you don't get crumbs on the tablecloth. Both mills make a very stable impression and because the grinder is made of ceramic, nothing rusts (in contrast to my Peugeot pepper mill, which was discarded due to age).
