No. At least there are only recipes for different types of bread and you can't choose a menu where you can adjust the rising or baking times if you want to get out of the 15 or so predefined recipes. In any case, after testing a number of recipes, I'm very satisfied with the results.

We had a König breadmaker before. The shape and the rather dried crust didn't blow me away then. The breads were edible but not much fun. Now we want to try it again and the Croustina seems to address exactly the points of bread shape (oval instead of square) and crust (crunchy instead of dried out) as a unique selling point. However, I have read several times that the non-stick coating of the mould wears off after 4 to 6 months and the bread then burns slightly at the bottom, so that it regularly breaks when you take it out. A new insert then costs CHF 70... Can you share your experience with the machine regarding long-term use? Would you buy it again or would you rather use a cheap machine (CHF 65) - without a round shape and a great crust?

The total height is 60 cm. The machine works reliably well and the bread is quite acceptable. However, the breads are not particularly convincing visually. We therefore call them "doorstoppers".

What is the difference between the WXA and the WXE other than the price?

The difference between SD-ZP2000 WXA and WXE is the plug. The model with the suffix WXA is the unit produced especially for the Swiss market with a 3-pin Swiss plug. The model with the suffix WXE is the European model, which has a Schuko plug (Schuko=protective contact) that does not fit into Swiss sockets. Galaxus supplies the legally required adapter with this model.
