You should only cold or warm liquids/foods.

I remember that you shouldn't mix anything hot in it according to the instructions. But if you blend the soup ingredients long enough, the liquid will get warmer due to the friction.

Blending, pureeing e.g. soups or other dishes works perfectly - large volumes are possible.
But you can't cook with it.
