The robot needs WLAN for navigation. Without it, it is "blind"! It also does not start without WLAN. I don't know whether you can work without WLAN in the basic setting, it would also be pointless.

Not only does it require WiFi (only the 2.4 GHz band), but the WiFi must also be connected to the internet. So if the application and the device are connected to a local WiFi connection without internet, the application cannot see the device.
