I don't know exactly what the inverter technology is, but I don't think this microwave has it. Apart from the wattage and the time, no settings can be made.

My appliance does not get hot. It should be possible to turn it off. I don't know if it is not advisable.

Regarding the distance, Samsung writes in the instructions: 85cm above the floor, 20cm distance upwards, 10cm distance on the sides and to the rear. (http://downloadcenter2.samsung.com/content...)
