Hello I have already had this Steam Mop twice, and each time it stopped working just under 1 month after the warranty expired (no more steam, probably the "steam drive" is broken), even though I used distilled water and decalcified it according to the instructions. Does it make sense to buy a warranty extension? I need it once a week, so I don't think a warranty extension will help, because they say it's normal wear and tear that's not covered by the warranty. I would like to buy another one now that the price is lower again.
Does it need distilled water or not really? Never read about it?
And how exactly do you decalcify it - haven't read anything like that either?....
Hello, I also had this problem with 3 devices!!! Now I have the solution: Never use normal water again, only distilled water. Since then it has been in operation for over a year without any problems :-)
