The Genius G7 can be cleaned in the dishwasher. However, you can easily clean the garlic slicer by hand. The integrated lower hinged lid removes the coarsest parts. The rest can be removed under running water. I put the Genius in a bowl of cold water overnight (the blades and the metal grid are stainless) and it just needs to be rinsed. I can remove any small amount of residue with a toothpick. ultrasharp parts should not be cleaned too often in the dishwasher because this dulls the knives in the long term. For me, it is the most ingenious garlic cutter because it does not crush but cuts really cleanly into the smallest cubes.
