Why doesn't the e5158 recognise that there are stairs? It descends a bit and then stops and then the warning light comes on, that shouldn't be the case.

Thank you for your question. All our products are equipped with fall sensors. Your Roomba e5 has 4 such sensors on the underside which detect stairs or other fall hazards. So as soon as your robot encounters such a precipice, it will turn around again.
