Weight and rolling resistance can be significantly optimized with Light and Supersonic tubes. However, the reduced wall thickness down to 0.45 mm increases the risk of punctures. Additionally, lightweight tubes need to be inflated more frequently. On the other hand, the Hermetic-Plus tube is a worry-free product. Thanks to an improved formulation, it is now more compact and lighter, with an increased butyl content and higher wall thickness, making it particularly puncture-resistant. Because it also holds air for an extra long time, it is a favorite among many bike rental services.
