The maui was developed using the same sophisticated and advanced "finite element" technology that was first used in the impulse and sprint models. The two-material technology used for the blade means that it essentially consists of two rigid side wings that direct the water flow into the centre area, where the overlay of a softer and more elastic material provides more flexibility. In this way, the blade bends and creates a "spoon effect" that results in a considerable propulsive force. The fin can be used with bare feet or light socks. The fabric cover of the ebs band prevents the elastic elements from wearing out. The heel section is made of soft, anatomical rubber. The handle for putting on the fin encloses the ankle so that it does not protrude and does not chafe when swimming. Although the ebs itself allows for great adaptability and makes putting on the fin particularly easy, we have fitted the elasticated strap with a cleat that allows for further adjustment.
